Philippine Electrical Code – Additional Requirements for GFCI Protection

Additional GFCI Requirements

The PEC has more requirements for GFCI than that in the kitchen. Below are sections of the Philippine Electrical Code 2017 Part 1 but not limited to the list below. It will be for the Electrical Engineer to determine if the installation requires GFCI.

Compliance

The important question here is "Do Electrical Inspectors aware of these GFCI requirements?". If not, then how could the provisions of the PEC be enforced?

The Office of the Building Official/EE shall have the responsibility of implementing the provisions of the PEC. The Electrical Engineer implementing these provision should be aware and have the competency to implement them.
