As part of my dedication to help aspiring Filipino Electrical Engineers broaden their knowledge on the profession they have chosen and to enable them to compete in the world job market particularly at these economic downturn, I will be presenting some tutorials on Electrical Engineering standards, practice and calculations.
I have already written several tutorials in The Filipino Engineer. Incoming tutorials will be
- MVA Method
- Arc Flash Hazards
- TBA
- Calculations
- MVA Method
- Arc Flash Hazards
- Time-Current Curves Using Excel – Part 1
- IEEE Power System Relaying Tutorials
- Cable Selection
- Time-Current Curves
- Time-Current Curve Part 2 – Discrimination
- Switchboard Rating for Internal Arcing Fault and Peak Current Withstand
- Philippine Electrical Code 2009
- Time-Current Curve v2
I have seen how excel 2003 is used for co-ordination study so far as relay is concerned. But how fuse characteristics is plotted in excel 2003
Unlike protective relays which got a T-C curve based on standard formula, IMHO fuses don’t have. To plot fuse TC curve, it must be based on manufacturer’s data. S&C provides TC curves for their fuses. You can download them here.
