Restructuring the Philippine Educational System

I have written an article back almost ten (10) years ago titled "Mis-education of the Filipino Engineer". This article was written based on my experiences working with other nationalities around the world. I truly felt disappointed to learn why Filipino Engineers could not compete head-to-head to graduates in other countries in the world job market.

Another disappointment, the the failure of the Philippine educational institutions to become members of the Washington Accord. It would have much easier for Filipino Engineers to have their degree be recognized in other countries without undergoing tedious process of re-evaluation.

I have personal encounters with new Filipino Engineers and I believe that despite being licensed professionals, their competency is below par compared to new engineering graduates I have work with in Australia and New Zealand. The restructuring of the Philippine Educational System shall be implemented as soon as possible in order for Filipino Engineers to compete with the world job market.
