Using the approximation method, the calculated X/R values are

  • 11 KV Bus : X/R = 6.1
  • 400 V Bus : X/R = 4.6

Please note despite representing the values in here in complex notation, these were not calculated as complex numbers, thus the X/R result is only approximate.

    Hi Ver,
    I’m very interested in your work. Thanks for sharing your know how!
    In this case I have problems to follow your calculations in this sheet.
    For example the 11kV Motor contributes 17.6 MVA, but from the busbar is only 18.1MVA coming down? In my opinion the sum of the up- and downstream values at each point you have marked at the 11 kV busbar should be the same.
    Can you please explain.
